UPDATE!! I glued the wheels together with a hot glue gun and it seems to have worked great!
When I went to return it to Amazon they issued me a credit and they said they didn??t even want me to send it back. So I decided to see how well the rest of the bag was constructed. I loaded it up with 30lbs and started to abuse it It wasn??t exactly a real life process (lots of swinging around dropping dragging on the useless wheels). Surprisingly it held up very well. It looks like the secret is that the plastic that holds things together like the wheels ,retractable handle etc is very thin and not rigid at all , this seems to let things bend and flex rather than break. ( I??m not sure if this is by design or far more likely the cost , regardless it appears to work)
I then took a 5 gallon bucket and eventually was able to fit it into the bag and close the zipper. I was literally pulling and stretching with all my strength to get it in. The stitching stretched in a few spots but didn??t tear or separate significantly. I had to use vise grips to close the zippers as I was stuffing the bucket inside. The only issues were the tabs that you use to operate the zippers broke off ( I really cannot fault the bag because I was pulling on the tabs with vise grips ??) but I was still able to get it closed without any more damage. I was still able to fit 2 medium towels in the front pocket relatively easily
All in all I was pleasantly surprised by its construction If only the wheels and wheel assembly wasn??t crap then this bag would definitely be worth every penny.
UPDATE! I used hot glue gun to glue the wheels together and it seems to have worked well.
Although my abuse of the bag doesn??t scientifically duplicate long term use of the bag it certainly was impressive to me And a lot of fun I think I may have found my calling !!! Just in case anyone at Amazon reads this I could use a new job??

I should have known better after reading the reviews, but my daughter loved the polka dot pattern, so I went ahead and purchased this bag. She started school on August 20th, and here we are on October 5th and the thing is completely useless. First, the fabric is cheap and started tearing within 3 weeks of use. No big deal, it still rolls. Then the metal poles that hold the handle through the bag and into the base broke and made an awful scraping noise on the concrete/blacktop while rolling. At this point I went ahead and ordered a far better quality bag for her, and hoped this “falling apart” bag would at least make it through one more day of 6th grade. By the time I picked her up today, one of the wheels had completely broken off.
Don’t waste your money folks. This bag didn’t even make it through the 7th week of school carrying a 2 inch binder, library book, small lunch bag, a few extra pencils and chapstick.
Customer Questions & Answers
Would this be an ideal backpack for a college student?
Answer: IMO no. Its too flimsy, I bought these for my 5 yo twins to “pack” their toys. Its perfect for a little, kid or light use. But wouldn’t last long in real world use. The wheels and handle are very cheap and will probably break if you drop this thing. It’s also probably too small.
does this have a matching lunch box?
Answer: I did not see one when I ordered it. But that would have been very cute to have. My daughter loves this backpack and it’s pretty sturdy also.
Is the bottom wide enough for books to be stacked on top of each other?
Answer: The back pack is very spacious. Depending on the size of the books, you could definitely stack them up.
